KSV Welcomes Errol Soriano and Neil de Gray to the Valuations Group

KSV Advisory Inc., one of Canada’s leading independent consulting firms focused on restructuring, valuation and transaction services, is pleased to announce that Errol Soriano FCPA, FCA, FCBV and Neil de Gray CPA, CA, CBV have joined the firm’s business valuation practice, which will be rebranded as KSV Soriano Inc.

Errol was most recently a Managing Director at a large, multinational consulting firm. For over 30 years, Errol’s practice has been dedicated exclusively to the valuation of business interests and the quantification of financial loss. In that time, Errol has prepared in the range of 1,000 expert reports and has testified approximately 60 times in courts in Canada and Asia, and in international and domestic arbitration proceedings. Errol has been retained in a wide range of cases including intellectual property, shareholder/transaction disputes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, class actions and regulatory proceedings. His clients range from privately owned businesses to the largest companies in the world. For each of the last six years, Errol has been recognized as a leading expert in Canada by Global Arbitration Review. He has written two books on business valuation and damages and is the current editor of Global Damages Review. Errol is also the current Chair of the Board of Examiners at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.

Neil also joins us from a large, multinational consulting firm. Neil brings over a decade of experience in business valuations, damages quantification and complex litigation support services. Neil has authored numerous expert reports in both litigious and non-litigious matters including business valuations, shareholder disputes, tax disputes, tax planning, damages quantification, fairness opinions and in the context of corporate reorganizations. He has testified as an expert in business valuation and corporate finance matters in Canadian courts. Neil is actively involved with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, serving on several committees, is a contributing author to several leading valuation texts, and is a regular speaker on business valuation and dispute-related topics.

The addition of Errol and Neil is a significant milestone for KSV. Errol and Neil will not only expand our valuations service offering which has grown under the direction of Peter Weinstein and Eli Brenner, but their skill sets will also augment our insolvency and restructuring practice, KSV Restructuring Inc.
