Bio

As KSV’s President and Managing Director, Bobby is known for providing clear and candid advice. His clients appreciate that he is able to eliminate the noise and focus on the key issues. He makes sure that his clients understand their options, and the benefits and risks of each. Practicing since 1992, Bobby has been exposed to a myriad of situations. His experience enables him to explain the pitfalls of virtually any situation that may arise.

Bobby is routinely engaged in Canada and the United States to represent debtors, secured creditors and other stakeholders. He leverages his vast experience to understand the issues relevant to each stakeholder group, enabling him to facilitate successful turnarounds in both formal and informal restructuring proceedings.

His ability to balance the interests of diverse stakeholders has earned him a reputation for achieving exemplary results. Bobby is routinely retained on some of the most difficult and complex matters. He is known for being able to make the tough decision.

Bobby prides himself on delivering timely results and keeping his clients informed. With experience working in nearly all sectors, Bobby has played an important role in many high-profile restructurings. In addition to representing distressed businesses and their creditors, Bobby has been retained to represent interests of Canadian provinces, Boards of Directors, employee groups, class action groups and others. Bobby has also been retained on numerous cross-border restructurings and has provided advisory services on restructurings in the United States.

Bobby is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional. He is also a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada. He holds an MBA and a BA from the University of Toronto. Bobby has authored several articles on insolvency matters and has been recognized by “Who’s Who Legal” as a North American “thought leader” in the field of insolvency and restructuring.
