Bio

Melissa is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator whose focus is damages quantification and business valuation. Melissa has a natural talent for numbers and pays attention to all the details.

Melissa provides independent and objective reports for clients in a variety of industries, with particularly deep experience in oil and gas, consumer products, retail, transportation, natural resources and pharmaceuticals.  Melissa has a reputation for providing accurate, complete and concise analyses.  

Melissa earned her CPA, CA designation in 2018 and her CBV in 2019. She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce. During her studies, Melissa gained international experience by completing an exchange semester at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Following her undergraduate education, Melissa returned to Queen’s to complete a graduate diploma in accounting.  Melissa excelled in her schooling and was one of the top 20 CPA exam writers in Ontario, earning her membership to the CPA Canada Common Final Examination National Honour Roll.

Before joining KSV, Melissa was a director at Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) where she focused on disputes, investigations and valuations. Prior to that, she was a senior associate at PwC in Toronto in the firm’s assurance group, completing client audits in the asset management sector.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys painting, yoga and spending time outdoors.
