We were retained by counsel to an international auto parts manufacturer to provide our opinion of the losses arising from the breakdown of a Chinese joint venture. The parties entered a joint venture agreement to manufacture auto parts at a large manufacturing facility in China.
We prepared an expert report setting out our opinion of the losses suffered as a result of the alleged breach of the joint venture agreement. Our analysis included a review of the joint venture’s historical and prospective performance, a review of functional capacity constraints of the manufacturing facility, and an assessment of lost sales and profits from the alleged breach. Our report and expert testimony were provided in the context of international arbitration.
