Allied Systems Group was primarily engaged in the “car-haul” business, being the transport of vehicles, such as automobiles, sport-utility vehicles and light trucks, from manufacturing plants, ports, auctions and railway distribution points to automobile dealerships in the US and Canada.
The restructuring was facilitated in the context of Chapter 11 proceedings in the US. We were appointed Information Officer in the Canadian proceeding and assisted Allied with its sale process, which resulted in substantially all of Allied’s assets being sold to a strategic purchaser.
