A&M Cookie

A&M Cookie Company Canada, c/b/a Colonial Cookies (“Colonial”) was a manufacturer and distributor of branded and private label cookies operating from a production facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Colonial’s principal customer was Loblaws, for which it manufactured the “Decadent” chocolate chip cookie.

Colonial commenced restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and we were appointed as Monitor. Over the course of the mandate, we carried out a Court-approved claims process, dealt with intercompany issues involving Colonial’s US based parent and its concurrent Chapter 11 proceedings and assisted Colonial with operational issues, including its dealings with its union. The outcome of the restructuring proceedings was a successful plan of arrangement approved by the Court.
