Neil de Gray is a Managing Director at KSV with expertise in business valuation, damages quantification and complex litigation support services.
Neil provides independent and objective valuation and related financial expert opinions (damages quantification, economic loss, etc.) in both litigious and non-litigious matters. Neil’s services are often required in the context of shareholder disputes, breach of contract, intellectual property disputes, tax litigation, and other commercial litigation matters. Neil has been qualified and has testified in Canadian courts as an expert in business and securities valuation, and corporate finance.
Neil also advises business owners, boards and shareholders on valuation and related matters with the objective of maximizing shareholder value. Neil is often retained to provide valuation services in respect of shareholder transactions, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, financial reporting, fairness opinions and tax planning.
Neil obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (High Distinction – Director’s Award for Academic Excellence) from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto (2007). He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) placing on the National Honour Roll on the 2008 UFE and a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV). Neil also holds a Certificate in Financial Forensics (CFF).
Neil has authored several articles and texts on business valuation and related topics including the Global Damages Review, Canadian Franchise Guide and The Advocates Journal and is actively involved with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, serving on several committees.
