KSV Advisory Inc. is proud to announce the further growth of its valuations practice through the additions of Doug Hyatt and Elizabeth Gjata of D.E. Hyatt Litigation Economics Inc., who will be practicing in association with KSV to broaden its offering in insurance liability cases.
Douglas Hyatt is an economist and Professor Emeritus of Economic Analysis and Policy at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. With extensive experience representing clients in litigation matters, and over 30 years of research in compensation and valuation, Doug works with law firms and insurance companies to estimate the pecuniary losses in civil disputes. He works on cases involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, copyright law, insurance valuations, employment law and insolvency.
Elizabeth Gjata is a two-time graduate of the University of Toronto – first earning her Bachelor of Commerce from the Rotman School of Management, then her Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law. With over a decade of experience in the field, Elizabeth combines her understanding of economics and law to provide comprehensive support in an array of civil litigation matters, including personal injury and medical malpractice.
Doug and Elizabeth will expand the litigation support services offered by KSV’s disputes and valuations advisory team. Their additions provide a broader economic and labour perspective for our clients, offering a unique viewpoint when determining damages in complex litigation matters.
