On June 4, 2025, KSV hosted its annual Charity Golf Classic at The Lebovic Golf Club in support of The ALS Clinic at Sunnybrook Hospital. ALS is a devastating neurological disease for which there remains no cure. Sunnybrook’s ALS clinic is the largest treatment and research centre for ALS in Canada. Thanks to our generous clients, friends and sponsors, we raised over $400,000! The proceeds of this year’s KSV Charity Golf Classic will help trailblaze research activities at Sunnybrook’s ALS clinic, creating greater hope for patients and families when it matters most.
The tournament this year was in honour of Michael Horowitz, the son and stepson of Edie and Robert Harlang. Michael was also a dear friend of the firm. Michael was diagnosed with ALS in January, 2022 and succumbed to the disease in May, 2024. Robert is one of the pioneers of our restructuring practice and the pioneer of the KSV Charity Golf Classic.
This year’s event continued a longstanding (25+ year) tradition of KSV and our predecessor firms of hosting an annual charity golf tournament. Funds raised from our annual golf events now exceed $4.5 million. We look forward to next year’s event!
