The Canadian government closed its border to the import of a gasoline additive known as MMT which was manufactured exclusively in the United States. The US manufacturer filed a claim pursuant to Chapter 11 of the North American Free Trade Agreement and its provisions Concerning Favored Nations and Minimum Standards of Treatment. We were retained by the US manufacturer to quantify the damages arising from the border closure and we prepared an expert report. This matter has been settled.
