Bondfield’s projects included constructing facilities in the health care, transit, long-term care, university and infrastructure sectors.
Forma Con Construction was one of the largest forming companies in Toronto with approximately $100 million in annual revenue. It is a subsidiary of Bondfield. Bondfield, Forma Con and certain related entities owned four significant properties in the GTA.
KSV was the financial advisor to Bridging Finance, the first ranking secured creditor of Bondfield and Forma Con. KSV was subsequently appointed by the Court as receiver of Forma Con and certain assets owned by Bondfield.
KSV conducted a sale process for real property owned by Bondfield and related entities. The sale process was complicated by rights of first refusal that had been provided to tenants in the buildings on its properties. KSV also pursued fraud claims of at least $11 million against Bondfield’s and Forma Con’s former principals.
