KSV has a longstanding tradition of hosting an annual charity golf tournament. Funds raised from our annual golf events now exceed $2 million. Our most recent event, held on June 18, 2018 at Coppinwood Golf Club, supported the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at the Toronto General Hospital, one of the world’s leading cardiac centers. The 2018 KSV Charity Golf classic was our most successful tournament to-date, raising over $470,000 thanks to the overwhelming support of our sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers. KSV is extremely grateful for everyone who made this event so memorable and successful.
KSV will be continuing the tradition next year. A copy of the notice published in The Globe and Mail on July 14, 2018 commemorating our 2018 event can be viewed by clicking UHN Tear Sheet.
We look forward to seeing you next year!
In July, 2018, we were a lead sponsor of the first annual "The Tourney", a golf tournament organized by Lifeline, a Lifetime Charitable Foundation. The inaugural event successfully raised over $100,000, which was distributed to numerous charities, including the Sick Kids Hospital Foundation, Starlight Foundation and Liv Wise Charity.
In September, 2017, we continued our tradition of supporting JDRF by putting the pedal to the metal at the JDRF Revolution Ride for Diabetes Research. The JDRF Revolution Ride raises in excess of $5 million annually. KSV’s participation at this event has become an annual tradition and we look forward to further our fundraising and cycling efforts for years to come.
KSV is a proud supporter of the Erace Cancer cycling team, consisting of road, triathlon, mountain and cyclocross racers who participate at local, provincial, national and international events to raise money for Camp Oochigeas. Camp Ooch, as it is known, is a privately-funded, volunteer-based organization that provides kids with and affected by childhood cancer with unique opportunities for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences. In the last four years, Erace Cancer has raised over $250,000 in support of Camp Ooch.
KSV has a strong connection to minor hockey. KSV was a lead sponsor and supporter of Minor Hockey Fights Cancer, with the proceeds of the firm’s 2014 annual golf tournament going toward this cause. MHFC raised over $1 million in the fight against cancer, with a significant portion of the donations generated from the efforts of KSV and its team.
In March 2016, we sponsored a team and participated in the 6th annual Joel Schwartz Memorial Hockey Tournament. The ultimate beneficiary of the event is Reena, a non-profit social service agency dedicated to helping those with developmental disabilities. KSV’s team made it to the finals!
